Where: Purdue University West Lafayette Campus

Who: Students pursuing investment banking, private equity, portfolio management, business, and corporate development, capital markets, equity & credit research, and industry corporate finance careers.

What: The Purdue Finance Workshop & the Communication Center will be hosting Wall Street Prep's Financial & Valuation Modeling Seminar at Purdue University on the weekend of January 22-23, 2022. This intensive 2-day weekend seminar is led by former investment bankers with applied expertise in financial and valuation modeling methodologies and bridges the gap between academics and the real world to equip students with the hands-on practical financial skills that they will need to excel during the recruiting process and on the job.

2022 PowerShift Case Competition

Who: Students from all colleges are welcome to participate. Registration is open to undergraduate or graduate teams of 3-5 students. All participants must be full-time Purdue-West Lafayette in-residence or virtual students.

What: The Brock-Wilson Center is hosting the annual PowerShift Case Competition. Teams of 3-5 students will collaborate and create viable for the business case. In the preliminary round, teams will submit a video, PowerPoint slide deck, and other team information. Finalists will be selected to present via vidoe-conferencing with judges in the final round of the competition. Awards will be announced after the final round presentations.


  • Registration Deadline: Friday, February 11 at 12pm EST
  • Competition Preliminary Rounds: Friday, February 11 through Tuesday, February 15
  • Competition Final Round: Friday, February 25.

2022 Scope and Kiefer Consulting Case Competition

The competition is being hosted by the Scope Consulting Club in partnership with Kiefer Consulting and in collaboration with the Krannert Communication Center.

First, Second, and Third Place prize money will be awarded through Purdue's financial aid area. Students will have an opportunity to present to judges from Kiefer Consulting. Kiefer will evaluate the team's first-round submissions and determine the top three advancing teams.

The three advancing teams will present to Kiefer on Zoom in an in-person viewing with their peers. Teams who did not present are welcome to view the presentations and join the in-person meeting. Advancing teams can view the presentations after they present. Awards to be announced following the final presentations, after a short break.

2022 Zimmer Biomet Case Competition


Dates: March 3-4

Where: Purdue Campus, West Lafayette 

Who: Students from all colleges and majors are welcome to participate. Registration is open to undergraduate teams of 4 WL face-to-face or virtual students with one team member having an accounting or finance major, minor, or concentration from Krannert. All participants must be Purdue-West Lafayette in-residence or virtual students.  

What: The Zimmer Biomet case competition is focused on a financial topic and students from all majors are welcome to participate.

Case Competition Registration ends Tuesday, April 5, 2022

2022 United For Diversity Case Competition

Dates: April 5-15, 2022

Where: TBA

Who: The United for Diversity Case Challenge is focused on diversity and inclusion. We welcome students from all majors with one team member having a Krannert major or minor. WL remote or in-residence students with or without case competition experience are welcome and encouraged to participate.

What: The School of Management Council (SMC) in partnership with The Brock Wilson Center for Women in Management, The Communication Center at Krannert, and Purdue Libraries and School of Information Studies will partner with a local agency to present the 2022 Diversity Case Challenge. The final round of the competition is on April 15.

In the competition teams of 3-5 students work together to create solutions/recommendations for the case. In the first round, teams will submit a video, PowerPoint, and other team information. Teams advancing to the final round will present live to Purdue and Greater Lafayette Community Leaders on a Zoom Call or face-to-face on the WL campus. Refer to the rules to review information about the submission and competition.
