Short Description
On behalf of Dr. Laurel Weldon, Dr. Rosalee Clawson, and the Purdue Policy Research Institute, we would like to invite you to Purdue University to our upcoming conference, Policies for Progress, on Monday, May 20, 2019.
Full Description
Policies for Progress is a free, one-day event and is the culmination of three years' research for our Mellon Foundation-funded grant, Breaking Through: Developing Multidisciplinary Solutions to Global Grand Challenges, which has funded four teams at Purdue focused on diverse research: Big Data Ethics, Flooding Risks, the Sustainability of US Agriculture, and Climate Change. You can read more about the projects and researchers here: https://dev.www.purdue.edu/breaking-through/index.php.
It will be an all-day event with lunch provided, followed by a wine reception, and a keynote by Dr. Darrick Hamilton, the Executive Director of the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity (6:00-7:00 PM). We hope you can join us for conversation, networking, and idea-generating!
