Lectern PC: This classroom is equipped with an ITAP-supported Windows PC. Use the provided mouse and keyboard to log in to the PC using a Purdue Career Account. Once logged in to the PC, your Purdue network drive will be accessible. The computer is installed with commonly used software for classroom presentations and demonstrations. For classroom PC support, contact itap@purdue.edu or (765)-494-4000.

Confidence Monitor: Rawls 3082 is equipped with a confidence monitor display at the back of the room. The confidence monitor is most commonly used to allow the presenter to see the presenter's camera while at the front of the classroom. However, the confidence monitor allows any available sources on the Crestron Control Panel to send to the display. Select Confidence Monitor, Preview, and Camera on the top left of the Crestron control panel to select the source.

Laptop Connections: This room includes HDMI, VGA, and network cables. Connect the HDMI or VGA cable to a laptop device to project to the classroom. For connecting with VGA make sure to connect the 3.5mm audio cable attached to the cable for sound.

Select the wireless video source on the Crestron control panel to view connection details and to access the app on your device. Connect your device to PAL 3.0. Enter the IP address and the 4-digit code located at the bottom corner into your web browser.

Document Camera: There is a provided document camera to project physical documents. Provided paper and Vis-a-Vis markers can be found at the lectern. Please do not write directly on the document camera surface.

Blu-Ray Player: A Blu-Ray player is included in the classroom. Use the provided remote located on the lectern to control playback functions. Blu-Ray and DVD discs are compatible with the provided player.

Cameras: Rawls 3082 is equipped with a student and presenter camera available for video conferencing and classroom recordings. The presenter (RoboSHOT USB) camera is controlled by the Crestron and the student camera (PTZ Pro 2) uses a remote located on the lectern. These camera sources are available to the PC in applications.

BoilerCast: Rawls 3082 has BoilerCast capture for classroom recordings for asynchronous viewing. This room supports two types of recordings: device and software captures.

Software captures can be scheduled in advance or via ad hoc. Software capture will only capture the PC source from the Crestron Control Panel.

Device captures support all of the cameras and hardware in the classroom. They utilize the RoboSHOT USB and PTZ Pro 2 cameras, as well as all of the Crestron Control Panel sources from projector 1.  Audio is captured with the wireless and ceiling microphones. It is best to use these for better audio quality.

You must pre-schedule your device captures at www.purdue.edu/boilercast before the class. To publish or access your recording, go to mediaspace.itap.purdue.edu or access Kaltura media through Brightspace.

Video Conferencing: Rawls 3082 supports Zoom and Microsoft Teams for video conferencing. Please create your meeting prior to arriving. Cameras and microphones are available to be used with the lectern PC for your conference.

Zoom can be accessed through the app on the PC, by logging in online, or through Brightspace.

To access Microsoft Teams, use the app on the PC, or log in through Office 365.
